Mode of Appointment

Kerala Automobiles Limited is a Public Sector Undertaking under the Industries Department, Government of Kerala. The method of appointment to various posts in Kerala Automobiles Limited (KAL) depends on the nature of the post and the company's recruitment policy. Generally, the following methods are employed:

  • Permanent Posts (Regular Employees) - Appointments to permanent positions in KAL are typically made through Kerala Public Service Commission (KPSC)/Kerala Public Enterprises Selection & Recruitment Board (KPESRB)
  • Temporary Posts - Appointments to Temporary Posts are made through Employment Exchange
  • Apprentices
    • ITI Apprentices are selected through Related Instruction Centres
    • Diploma/Degree Apprentices are selected through NATS Portal
